Here's a little info. on the transfer for other blog readers:
This is a "needle drop" transfer from vinyl and quite clean, with only an occasional and very minor fuzziness from a little dust in the grooves or on the stylus.
It is indeed a needle drop. Although I'm not a hi-fi specialist I was hoping that having a Technics SL-1200MK2 turntable with very good cables connected to my PC's hard drive, I would get a satisfactory result. Thanks very much for your opinion on my needle drop result.
